Who is that weird English guy anyway?
Well, my wife and I are originally from the UK and came to NZ to attend Capernwray Bible School in January 2005 to get a 'break' from the craziness of life. I was running a small advertising agency and things had got a little hectic. We knew about Capernwray in the UK and had been to Night School there several times so we wanted to take a mini sabbatical to freshen our thinking and focus on our faith - New Zealand seemed like a pretty good place to do that!
When we returned to the UK, just 10 weeks later, the Lord laid it on my heart to leave my own company and trust Him with the consequences - so that's what I did. Daunting as that was I was immediately offered an incredible job working at a larger advertising agency run by two incredible Christian guys. I had three great years there but then the call came to return to NZ and work with the Capernwray ministry we had attended as students. Long story short that was now a long time ago!
We have three wonderful children (Taylor, Michael and Charissa) and spent 10 years on staff at Capernwray New Zealand where I held the position of Communications Manager and directed the 10-week BML (Business, Ministry, Leadership) programme.
Then I became the co-founder and editor of Authentic Magazine - New Zealand's first Christian Men's Magazine, and a director of Authentic Media - A Christ-centred marketing agency, both of which were outreaches of Authentic Christian Trust.
Along the way I became the pastor of Kaipaki Bible Church - a small fellowship just outside Cambridge.
